Cruising Along

Things are going pretty well! My sinus infection/cold/cough seems to be cleared up. I went for my glucose test today and should have the results in a week. I was able to meet another midwife, who happens to be the person that trained the woman I saw previously, and I think she will be great! She has four kids, all age 16 or older, and said that she is present for 90-95% of her patient's births. When I go back in two weeks I will see another midwife in the practice, just so I can meet her, as she would be a back-up.

Tomorrow morning we leave on the "babymoon" trip to California. It will be great to get away for a few days and visit some good friends that moved out there in January! We fly direct from KC to San Francisco, and will be spending time in SF, Redwood City (lodging in our friend's guest cottage), and perhaps go to San Jose. We are excited to see Chris and Josh, tour some of the sites, and relax with some pretty scenery. The weather in SF is supposed to be 70 degrees and sunny, with a forecast of snow in KC...I think we picked the perfect weekend to get away!
