So what are we going to name this baby?? We've been telling some people, so if you haven't heard, she will be named Joselyn Jean Thummel. ;o) Ahhhh. My middle name is Jo, so I started reading that page of the baby name book and after we called her Joselyn for a few days it stuck. Maybe we'll call her Josie as a nickname some day, but for now she is Joselyn. And Jean is my Grandma Thomsen's middle name. Joselyn will be the 20th great-grandchild on my Mom's side of the family. My Dad's middle name was Eugene, also a close correlation.
Speaking of my Dad, oh how I wish he was still here with us to meet her!! I'll never forget when Kate was born. Mom and Dad walked into the room and Dad was the first to hold her...because Mom stopped long enough to think about taking her coat off! He was such a proud Grandpa.
Tonight I attended Relay for Life, an event that I usually fundraise and participate in memory of my Dad. But because the overnight event was scheduled for my due date, I decided that wasn't a good idea. But we did go and walk a few laps during the silent auction. My successful bid was a basket of 4th of July decorations! And of course we had to purchase a luminaria in memory of Grandpa Curt. Thanks to Deborah and Murphy for attending with me and slowly walking around the track a few times. Although, I wouldn't mind being up all night tonight if I could go into labor!
